The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our team and support curriculum delivery across a range of subjects. This role is ideal for someone who is committed to making a positive impact on young learners and is eager to grow professionally within a supportive and progressive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support teaching and learning by providing additional cover for classes.
- Assist in the delivery of curriculum content across various subjects.
- Work closely with teachers and support staff to ensure a consistent and effective learning experience.
- Help to develop and implement individual learning plans for students with additional needs.
- Provide one-to-one or small group support to students requiring extra assistance.
- Contribute to the school’s positive and inclusive culture.
- Participate in staff development and training programs.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Relevant experience in a similar support role within an educational setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexibly and independently as well as part of a team.
- Commitment to supporting the learning and development of all students.
- Experience working with children of varying abilities and needs.
Preferred
- Experience in primary education.
- Knowledge of inclusive teaching strategies and practices.
- Experience with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
- Experience with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
- Familiarity with educational software and tools.
