The Opportunity:
As a Lunchtime Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring the safety and well-being of students during lunch breaks. This is a vital position that supports the school’s mission to foster a happy, secure, and enriching learning environment for all pupils.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage students during lunchtimes to ensure a safe and positive environment.
- Promote a culture of respect, inclusivity, and good behavior among students.
- Assist with the smooth running of lunchtime activities and transitions.
- Support students in resolving conflicts and encouraging positive social interactions.
- Monitor student behavior and report any concerns to relevant staff.
- Collaborate with teachers and other staff to maintain a consistent approach to student welfare.
- Participate in school events and contribute to the overall pastoral care of students.
- Ensure compliance with school policies and procedures during lunchtimes.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Experience working with children in a school or educational setting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.
- Commitment to promoting a positive and inclusive environment.
- Flexibility and willingness to work during lunchtimes and other school hours as required.
Preferred
- Previous experience in a supervisory or pastoral role within a school.
- Knowledge of child development and behavior management.
- Experience working in a co-educational setting.
- Familiarity with safeguarding policies and procedures.
