The Opportunity:

Join a school dedicated to fostering academic, social, and emotional growth in young learners. As a Teaching Assistant, you will support Form Teachers and Specialist Teachers, creating a positive and engaging learning environment that empowers students to thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the delivery of learning activities and assist in the development of individual and group learning plans.
  • Foster positive relationships with pupils, colleagues, and parents to ensure a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Contribute to the management of classroom behavior and the maintenance of a safe, stimulating, and well-organized learning space.
  • Assist with the planning and delivery of lessons, including the use of technology and resources to enhance pupil engagement.
  • Support the social and emotional development of pupils through one-to-one and small group interactions.
  • Participate in school events and contribute to the wider life of the school community.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to monitor and support the progress of pupils.
  • Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and behavior in line with school procedures.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A relevant NVQ Level 3 qualification in Childcare and Education or willingness to complete it within the first year of employment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A caring, proactive, and highly motivated individual with a genuine commitment to supporting young children.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and colleagues.
  • Experience working within a primary school setting is desirable.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Preferred

  • Experience in a teaching or support role within a school environment.
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Flexibility to work across different year groups and subjects.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive salary in the region of £28,329 – £31,599 per annum.
