The Opportunity:

As a Mandarin Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering engaging and effective Mandarin lessons to students from Early Years through to Year 6. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a close-knit team that values collaboration, innovation, and student-centered learning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver Mandarin lessons tailored to the needs of Early Years – Year 6 students
• Prepare and use appropriate teaching resources to support learning
• Observe, assess, and report on students’ progress and achievement
• Collaborate with teaching staff to ensure alignment with the school’s educational standards
• Participate in school meetings, training, and social events
• Organize and lead at least one afterschool extra-curricular activity
• Support and contribute to the school community
• Implement the school’s assessment and reporting procedures
• Fulfill break time and lunchtime duties as required

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Qualified Mandarin teacher with relevant teaching experience
• Strong knowledge of Mandarin language and culture
• Experience teaching in Early Years and Primary settings
• Ability to plan and deliver engaging lessons
• Commitment to student-centered learning and development
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred

• Experience with international curricula
• Familiarity with inclusive education practices
• Experience in organizing and running extra-curricular activities
• Knowledge of educational theory and current teaching practices
• Fluency in English or another language
