The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver engaging, rigorous math lessons tailored to Upper Primary students.
  • Collaborate with Learning Enhancement Teachers to ensure personalized student success and understanding.
  • Foster meaningful relationships with students to support their academic and personal growth.
  • Guide students in developing a strong foundation in math concepts, including those leading to Pre-Algebra and Algebra.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and stay current with best practices in education.
  • Contribute to a collaborative and supportive school community through teamwork and shared goals.
  • Encourage curiosity and intellectual pursuit in students through interactive and innovative teaching methods.
  • Support the school’s mission of academic excellence and student achievement.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in your subject area (Elementary and Early Education degrees are also highly valued).
  • At least two years of experience as a lead teacher in a classroom.
  • Strong commitment to academic rigor and student achievement.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-based, co-teaching environment.

Preferred

  • Experience with teaching math to Upper Primary students.
  • Familiarity with international curriculum standards.
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language.
  • Background in curriculum development or instructional leadership.
  • Experience with student assessment and data-driven instruction.
