The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective lessons in mathematics at both GCSE and A-Level.
  • Develop procedural fluency and deep conceptual understanding in students.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning and departmental initiatives.
  • Support the school’s enrichment programme and contribute to extracurricular activities.
  • Implement evidence-based teaching practices and mixed-ability strategies.
  • Promote a positive learning environment that encourages student success and well-being.
  • Participate in the school’s research-based professional development programme.
  • Ensure the safety and welfare of students in line with safeguarding policies.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in teaching GCSE and A-Level mathematics.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop procedural fluency and conceptual understanding in students.
  • Commitment to evidence-based practice and mixed-ability teaching.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working in a diverse and inclusive environment.

Preferred

  • Experience with curriculum development and innovative teaching methods.
  • Involvement in school-wide enrichment or extracurricular programmes.
  • Familiarity with research-based teaching strategies and professional development.
