The Opportunity:

As a Speech and Debate Coach, you’ll play a key role in shaping students’ communication skills and critical thinking abilities. You’ll lead a high-impact program, prepare students for competitions, and provide mentorship to help them succeed in public speaking and debate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and develop a dynamic speech and debate program in Wuxi
• Coach students in public speaking, argumentation, and debate strategy
• Prepare students for competitions at all levels
• Provide personalized feedback and mentorship
• Manage assistant coaches and coordinate events
• Collaborate with staff to create engaging curriculum and events
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff
• Support students through seasonal camps and travel opportunities

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of debate coaching experience
• Strong understanding of debate formats, such as NSDA
• Eligibility for a Chinese work visa

Preferred

• Experience mentoring students for competitions
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends
