You will contribute to curriculum development and support students across Key Stages 3, 4, and potentially 5. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective mathematics lessons that promote student understanding and achievement.
  • Contribute to the development and review of the mathematics curriculum and assessment strategies.
  • Support the school’s commitment to inclusion and ensure all learners are challenged and supported.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, staff training, and professional development opportunities.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback to students and parents.
  • Encourage student participation in mathematics enrichment activities and extracurricular events.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with QTS or equivalent.
  • Strong subject knowledge in mathematics.
  • Experience teaching mathematics at Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Commitment to inclusive teaching practices and student-centered learning.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching Key Stage 5 mathematics.
  • Familiarity with assessment and curriculum development in mathematics.
  • Experience with inclusive education and differentiated instruction.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage and motivate students.
