Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Food Technology lessons that engage and challenge students.
  • Develop and implement a curriculum that aligns with the school’s vision and educational standards.
  • Monitor and assess student progress to ensure all learners achieve their full potential.
  • Support students in developing practical skills and theoretical knowledge in Food Technology.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning across the department.
  • Participate in Continuing Professional Development (CPD) opportunities to maintain and improve teaching practice.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive classroom environment that reflects the school’s Catholic values.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school through extracurricular activities and pastoral care.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant Food Technology experience.
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver engaging lessons.
  • Commitment to high standards of pupil conduct and behaviour.
  • Experience in working within a Catholic ethos and values-based environment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to a supportive school culture.

Preferred

  • Experience with teaching at Key Stage 3 and 4.
  • Experience with Ofsted inspection processes and a track record of successful outcomes.
  • Familiarity with modern Food Technology facilities and equipment.
  • Experience in delivering CPD or mentoring new teachers.
