The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality mathematics lessons to students aged 11-16, ensuring engagement and progression.
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies to support student learning and achievement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan and deliver a cohesive and impactful curriculum.
  • Provide constructive feedback to students to support their academic and personal development.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, using data to inform teaching and learning.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the planning and development of the mathematics curriculum.
  • Support the school’s commitment to inclusion and diversity in all aspects of teaching and learning.
  • Engage in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practice and subject knowledge.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with QTS or equivalent.
  • Relevant degree in Mathematics or a closely related subject.
  • Proven experience in teaching Mathematics at Key Stage 3 and 4.
  • Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
  • Commitment to student success and a passion for Mathematics education.

Preferred

  • Experience in delivering GCSE Mathematics.
  • Experience with teaching in a diverse and inclusive environment.
  • Experience with using technology to enhance teaching and learning.
  • Experience with pastoral care and supporting students’ personal development.
