The Opportunity:

As an Occupational Therapist - North Region, you will provide essential therapy services to students across multiple locations. This role is ideal for someone passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with diverse learning needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess students’ physical, sensory, and cognitive abilities to identify therapeutic needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans to improve students’ functional abilities in various settings.
  • Collaborate with the Regional SENDCo, teachers, and other professionals to support student success and well-being.
  • Monitor and document student progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed.
  • Provide guidance and training to parents and caregivers to support student development at home.
  • Deliver in-service training to staff on sensory integration and classroom adaptations.
  • Maintain thorough records of assessments, progress, and communications in compliance with regulations.
  • Travel across the North Region to provide therapy and consultation services at multiple schools.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
  • Valid and current state licensure or certification as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Experience working with children in special education settings.

Preferred

  • Experience providing therapy for students with autism spectrum disorder, physical disabilities, or sensory processing disorders.
  • Experience in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
  • Experience with sensory integration techniques.
