The Opportunity:
As an Occupational Therapist - North Region, you will provide essential therapy services to students across multiple locations. This role is ideal for someone passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with diverse learning needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess students’ physical, sensory, and cognitive abilities to identify therapeutic needs.
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans to improve students’ functional abilities in various settings.
- Collaborate with the Regional SENDCo, teachers, and other professionals to support student success and well-being.
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed.
- Provide guidance and training to parents and caregivers to support student development at home.
- Deliver in-service training to staff on sensory integration and classroom adaptations.
- Maintain thorough records of assessments, progress, and communications in compliance with regulations.
- Travel across the North Region to provide therapy and consultation services at multiple schools.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
- Valid and current state licensure or certification as an Occupational Therapist.
- Experience working with children in special education settings.
Preferred
- Experience providing therapy for students with autism spectrum disorder, physical disabilities, or sensory processing disorders.
- Experience in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
- Experience with sensory integration techniques.
