Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver engaging Sociology lessons to A Level and GCSE students.
- Support the teaching of related subjects such as Criminology and Psychology where appropriate.
- Foster an inclusive and stimulating learning environment that encourages student participation and achievement.
- Collaborate with colleagues in the Social Science curriculum area to enhance teaching and learning practices.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support academic growth.
- Contribute to the ongoing development of the curriculum and assessment strategies.
- Engage in professional development and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Participate in extracurricular activities and school events to support student well-being and engagement.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Sociology.
- Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver high-quality lessons.
- Experience in teaching A Level and GCSE Sociology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to inclusive education and student support.
Preferred
- Experience in teaching Criminology or Psychology.
- Familiarity with AQA and OCR specifications.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Experience with innovative teaching methods and technologies.
