The Opportunity:

As a Maths Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in shaping young minds and delivering a rigorous Mathematics curriculum aligned with the Cambridge International Curriculum. You will inspire students from Year 5 to 10, preparing them for IGCSE Mathematics and fostering a lifelong love of learning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver a rigorous and engaging Mathematics curriculum in line with the Cambridge International Curriculum.
• Teach Mathematics across a range of ages, from Year 6 through to IGCSE, inspiring curiosity and critical thinking.
• Support students in preparing for IGCSE Mathematics, delivering a well-structured and challenging course.
• Create and implement lesson plans and assessments that cater to diverse learning needs, including EAL learners.
• Provide formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress and guide learning.
• Teach a second subject, such as Biology, Chemistry, or Computer Science, up to Key Stage 3 or 4.
• Act as a Form Tutor, providing pastoral care and supporting students' personal and social development.
• Engage in extracurricular activities, leading mathematical clubs, STEM projects, and competitions.
• Incorporate innovative teaching strategies and technology to enhance student learning.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Minimum three years of teaching experience within an international school environment.
• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education with a recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGDE, PGCE, NIE Diploma) or a valid Teacher Licence / QTS.
• Strong knowledge and experience in delivering the Mathematics curriculum.
• Demonstrated ability to plan and deliver inquiry-based and concept-driven learning.
• Experience working with EAL learners and supporting language acquisition in Science.
• Proven capability in curriculum development and team leadership.
• Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics and teaching strategies for diverse learners.
• Experience teaching Mathematics to students aged 10–16, with familiarity in preparing for IGCSE or equivalent exams.

Preferred

• Ability to teach a second subject (Biology, Chemistry, or Computer Science) up to Key Stage 3 or 4.
• Experience in curriculum development and leadership within the Mathematics Department.
• Strong understanding of concept-based and inquiry-based learning approaches.
• Passion for integrating Mathematics into the wider curriculum.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Cultural sensitivity and global-mindedness.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage responsibilities effectively.
