The Opportunity:
As a PE Teacher, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality physical education and sports lessons, while contributing to the development of a vibrant extra-curricular programme. Key Responsibilities:
- Teach PE and Games across a variety of sports, focusing on skill development, teamwork, and fair play.
- Develop and deliver lesson plans aligned with the school’s PE curriculum and educational goals.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
- Lead and manage extra-curricular sports clubs, teams, and events to encourage broad participation.
- Ensure student safety by maintaining equipment and adhering to health and safety guidelines during lessons and sports activities.
- Organise and oversee inter-house and inter-school competitions, promoting a competitive and inclusive environment.
- Collaborate with teachers, coaches, and support staff to ensure a cohesive approach to student well-being and development.
- Support the integration of outdoor education into the broader curriculum and assist in developing outdoor learning experiences.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A relevant degree and teaching qualification (PGCE, B.Ed., or equivalent).
- Minimum 3 years of teaching experience in an international school setting across all age groups.
- Experience with a range of individual and team sports.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Commitment to student well-being and a positive learning environment.
Preferred
- Experience with outdoor education and expedition activities.
- Ability to contribute to pastoral care and student development through sports.
- Familiarity with international curricula such as the Cambridge International Framework.
