The Opportunity:
As a Maths Teacher, you will join a supportive and thriving department and work closely with the Head of Mathematics to develop the teaching of Mathematics. This is an exciting opportunity for ECTs to grow and make a meaningful impact on student learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver high-quality Mathematics lessons that inspire and challenge students.
- Work collaboratively with the department to enhance teaching methods and student outcomes.
- Support the school’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to continually improve teaching practice.
- Provide pastoral support to students and contribute to the overall school community.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support learning.
- Engage in extracurricular activities and initiatives that promote a love of Mathematics.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Mathematics education.
- Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics.
- Experience working with students in a school setting.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Preferred
- Experience with ECTs or mentoring new teachers.
- Familiarity with modern teaching methodologies and technologies.
- Experience with curriculum development and assessment strategies.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
