Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Mathematics Department, ensuring high-quality teaching and learning.
- Develop and implement the Mathematics curriculum, aligning with academic standards and student needs.
- Oversee departmental resources, budget, and assessments, ensuring efficient operations.
- Support and mentor Mathematics staff, promoting professional development and collaboration.
- Coordinate co-curricular activities, including enrichment programs and extracurricular events.
- Work closely with Form Tutors and pastoral teams to support student well-being and academic progress.
- Monitor and evaluate student performance, ensuring consistent improvement and exam success.
- Contribute to the broader academic and cultural life of the school.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Strong graduate degree in Mathematics or a related field.
- Proven experience in teaching Mathematics across all age groups.
- Demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate students and colleagues.
- Strong leadership and management skills with experience in departmental leadership.
- Commitment to academic excellence and student success.
- Willingness to take on the role of a Form Tutor.
Preferred
- Experience in leading a department or teaching in both maintained and independent sectors.
- Familiarity with co-curricular activities and enrichment programs.
- Experience with curriculum development and assessment strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
