The Opportunity:
As a Maths Teacher, you will play a vital role in inspiring and educating students aged 11 to 18, helping them develop strong mathematical skills and a deep understanding of the subject. You will be part of a dedicated department focused on high-quality teaching, student attainment, and professional growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that align with Edexcel Exam Board requirements at GCSE and A Level.
- Support students of all abilities, ensuring they are challenged and motivated to reach their full potential.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and enhance pedagogy through departmental CPD.
- Develop and maintain a safe, structured, and creative learning environment that encourages mathematical thinking and problem-solving.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing targeted support where needed.
- Participate in the planning and delivery of the curriculum, ensuring it meets the needs of all learners.
- Engage with the wider school community and contribute to extracurricular activities where appropriate.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with school policies and procedures.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in teaching Maths at Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
- Evidence of excellent lesson planning and delivery, with a focus on student attainment.
- Experience in preparing students for Edexcel Exam Board qualifications.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
Preferred
- Experience with Further Mathematics at A Level.
- Background in providing CPD to colleagues or wider educational communities.
- Experience in a school with a strong focus on professional development and teacher well-being.
- Familiarity with UK ENIC and Teaching Regulation Agency (TRA) requirements for overseas-trained teachers.
