Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality maths lessons that inspire and challenge students at all levels
  • Use a variety of teaching methods, including manipulatives and pictorial approaches, to enhance conceptual understanding
  • Develop and implement problem-solving strategies that engage and motivate students
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan and deliver innovative maths projects
  • Support students in achieving their full potential through differentiated instruction and targeted interventions
  • Participate in professional development and contribute to departmental improvement
  • Manage a range of classes across key stages, including A Level maths and further maths
  • Engage students in extracurricular maths activities and events

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in maths education
  • Commitment to student success and inclusive teaching
  • Ability to use a range of teaching strategies, including physical and pictorial methods
  • Experience in teaching problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
  • Willingness to continually develop teaching practice

Preferred

  • Experience with A Level maths and further maths
  • Familiarity with using technology to enhance learning
  • Experience in mentoring or supporting early career teachers
  • Background in extracurricular maths activities or competitions
