Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality maths lessons that inspire and challenge students at all levels
- Use a variety of teaching methods, including manipulatives and pictorial approaches, to enhance conceptual understanding
- Develop and implement problem-solving strategies that engage and motivate students
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan and deliver innovative maths projects
- Support students in achieving their full potential through differentiated instruction and targeted interventions
- Participate in professional development and contribute to departmental improvement
- Manage a range of classes across key stages, including A Level maths and further maths
- Engage students in extracurricular maths activities and events
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in maths education
- Commitment to student success and inclusive teaching
- Ability to use a range of teaching strategies, including physical and pictorial methods
- Experience in teaching problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Willingness to continually develop teaching practice
Preferred
- Experience with A Level maths and further maths
- Familiarity with using technology to enhance learning
- Experience in mentoring or supporting early career teachers
- Background in extracurricular maths activities or competitions
