Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging Mathematics lessons that encourage problem-solving and critical thinking.
  • Support students of all abilities and contribute to their academic and personal development through pastoral care.
  • Participate in the planning and delivery of extra-curricular activities, including Maths clubs and enrichment events.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share resources, observe teaching, and stay updated on educational best practices.
  • Contribute to departmental development and continuous improvement of the Mathematics curriculum.
  • Mentor and support student learning through individualised feedback and assessment.
  • Stay informed about the latest developments in Mathematics education and incorporate them into teaching.
  • Work closely with other departments to ensure a well-rounded and supportive learning environment.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A strong academic background in Mathematics.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • The ability to motivate and inspire students of all abilities.
  • A commitment to working as part of a collaborative team.
  • A willingness to engage in professional development and continuous learning.

Preferred

  • Previous teaching experience, either in a school or through a PGCE or apprenticeship.
  • A recognised teaching qualification such as QTS or a relevant degree.
  • Experience with curriculum development or extra-curricular programme delivery.
  • Familiarity with the latest educational technologies and teaching methodologies.
  • Experience working in an independent or selective school environment.
