Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Mathematics lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, using data-driven strategies to personalise teaching and drive student success.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages curiosity and a love for Mathematics.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement a strong, consistent curriculum that supports student achievement.
  • Support students in achieving their full potential through individualised feedback and targeted interventions.
  • Contribute to the wider school community by participating in professional development, mentoring, and extracurricular activities.
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly, using insights to inform teaching and improve outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports in line with school policies and requirements.
  • Stay up to date with developments in Mathematics education and incorporate innovative teaching methods into the classroom.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a strong academic background in Mathematics or a related field.
  • Experience or potential to teach Mathematics effectively across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Demonstrated ability to create a positive and engaging learning environment.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Commitment to the school’s values and ethos.

Preferred

  • Experience with data-driven teaching strategies and student progress tracking.
  • Experience with curriculum development or leadership roles in Mathematics.
  • Experience with teaching English as a Second Language (ESOL) or supporting diverse learners.
  • Experience with professional development and mentoring.
