The Opportunity:
As Curriculum Leader Mathematics, you will provide professional leadership to ensure excellence in teaching and learning across the Maths department. This role is essential in driving a culture of high aspirations, continuous improvement, and outstanding achievement for both students and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop the Mathematics curriculum to ensure it is broad, balanced, and inclusive.
- Monitor and evaluate the quality of teaching and learning to support continuous improvement.
- Support staff development through mentoring, training, and professional growth opportunities.
- Promote a culture of high aspirations and achievement across the department.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure consistent standards and progression.
- Ensure that all students, including those with additional needs, are challenged and supported effectively.
- Foster a sense of community and shared purpose within the department.
- Maintain strong communication with senior leadership and other curriculum leaders.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience in a senior leadership role within education, preferably in Mathematics.
- Strong knowledge of curriculum development and effective teaching strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in monitoring and evaluating teaching and learning.
- Commitment to Catholic values and the mission of the school.
Preferred
- Experience in leading a department or team in a school setting.
- Familiarity with Catholic education and Gospel values.
- Experience in supporting staff development and professional learning.
- Strong organisational and leadership skills.
