The Opportunity:
A school is seeking a passionate and driven Science Teacher to join its dedicated department. This role involves teaching across Key Stages and delivering high-quality lessons that inspire and challenge students. The successful candidate will play a key role in raising achievement and supporting the school’s continued success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
- Develop and implement a curriculum that meets the needs of all learners
- Monitor and assess student progress regularly to support individual learning
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and improve teaching methods
- Support students through pastoral care and personal development
- Participate in Continuing Professional Development (CPD) opportunities
- Contribute to the wider school community through extra-curricular activities
- Maintain accurate records and report student progress to parents and carers
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a relevant degree in Science or a related field
- Proven experience teaching Science at Key Stages 3 and 4
- Strong subject knowledge in Science
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to inclusive education and student well-being
Preferred
- Experience in leading or mentoring other teachers
- Familiarity with interactive and technology-based teaching methods
- Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL) or similar
- Background in sports or extra-curricular activities
