The Opportunity:
A school is seeking a dedicated Maths Teacher to inspire and support students from early years through to sixth form. This role offers the chance to contribute to a dynamic learning environment and make a meaningful impact on student success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach mathematics to students from Remove (P7) to Upper 6 (S6) in line with national and school policies.
- Deliver engaging and effective lessons that promote student confidence and academic progress.
- Support students with additional learning needs and ensure appropriate provisions for examinations.
- Collaborate with the Head of Faculty and colleagues to maintain a high-quality, well-balanced curriculum.
- Participate in Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and contribute to the school’s co-curricular activities.
- Monitor and assess student performance, providing regular feedback and support.
- Maintain strong communication with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a positive learning environment.
- Fulfill supervisory and pastoral responsibilities as a Form Tutor.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in mathematics education.
- Strong subject knowledge in mathematics and the ability to teach across different age groups.
- Experience in developing and delivering engaging lesson plans.
- Commitment to fostering student confidence and academic achievement.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and support the school’s values and mission.
Preferred
- Experience in teaching in an independent or all-girls school setting.
- Familiarity with Scottish curriculum and examination systems (Higher and Advanced Higher).
- Experience with digital learning tools and strategies.
- Strong communication and pastoral care skills.
