The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Maths lessons across all key stages to raise attainment and engagement.
  • Work collaboratively with the Head of Department and colleagues to support departmental improvement and innovation.
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that promote student progress and achievement.
  • Monitor and assess student performance regularly to ensure continuous improvement and support individual learning needs.
  • Contribute to the school’s vision and mission by promoting a culture of excellence and aspiration.
  • Participate in professional development and training opportunities to enhance teaching practice.
  • Support the pastoral development of students where appropriate and required.
  • Maintain accurate records and report on student progress and achievement.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge and experience in teaching Maths.
  • Proven track record of success in raising attainment and achievement across all key stages.
  • Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to the school’s values and mission, including a focus on social justice and excellence in education.

Preferred

  • Experience in pastoral support or student welfare.
  • Experience with Early Career Teachers (ECTs) or mentoring.
  • Familiarity with the use of technology in the classroom.
  • Experience within a multi-academy trust or similar educational setting.
