A school is seeking a dedicated Teacher of English to join its growing team. Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality English lessons across all key stages.
• Work collaboratively with the Head of Department and colleagues to improve student progress and attainment.
• Develop and implement engaging and innovative teaching strategies.
• Support students in developing their literacy, critical thinking, and communication skills.
• Monitor and assess student performance regularly, providing constructive feedback.
• Participate in departmental meetings, staff training, and whole-school initiatives.
• Contribute to the pastoral care of students where appropriate.
• Stay up to date with current educational trends and best practices in English teaching.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Qualified teacher with relevant experience in English education.
• Proven track record of raising attainment across all key stages.
• Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and manage a busy workload.
• Commitment to the school’s values and vision.

Preferred

• Experience with pastoral support or student welfare.
• Knowledge of teaching English as a second language.
• Experience in using technology to enhance teaching and learning.
• Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are welcome to apply.
