The Opportunity:

As a Maths Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality mathematics education to students at both GCSE and A Level. You will be part of a passionate and collaborative department committed to inspiring students and fostering a love of mathematics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective mathematics lessons to students across all key stages.
  • Develop and implement a curriculum that promotes mathematical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Support students in preparing for UKMT Challenges, Olympiads, and university entrance exams such as STEP and MAT.
  • Participate in a vibrant enrichment program that includes masterclasses and co-curricular activities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the continued success and development of the mathematics department.
  • Provide pastoral support and guidance to students as needed.
  • Stay up to date with developments in mathematics education and incorporate innovative teaching methods.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school through extracurricular activities and events.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Maths or a closely related subject.
  • Proven success in teaching Maths at A Level.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) desirable.
  • Proven track record of excellence in an education setting.
  • Strong evidence of continuous professional development.

Preferred

  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL/TEFL).
  • Experience in leading or contributing to a successful mathematics department.
  • Experience with university entrance exam preparation (e.g., STEP, MAT).
  • Experience in delivering enrichment programs or extracurricular mathematics activities.
