The Opportunity:
As a Maths Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality mathematics education to students at both GCSE and A Level. You will be part of a passionate and collaborative department committed to inspiring students and fostering a love of mathematics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective mathematics lessons to students across all key stages.
- Develop and implement a curriculum that promotes mathematical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Support students in preparing for UKMT Challenges, Olympiads, and university entrance exams such as STEP and MAT.
- Participate in a vibrant enrichment program that includes masterclasses and co-curricular activities.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the continued success and development of the mathematics department.
- Provide pastoral support and guidance to students as needed.
- Stay up to date with developments in mathematics education and incorporate innovative teaching methods.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school through extracurricular activities and events.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Maths or a closely related subject.
- Proven success in teaching Maths at A Level.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) desirable.
- Proven track record of excellence in an education setting.
- Strong evidence of continuous professional development.
Preferred
- Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL/TEFL).
- Experience in leading or contributing to a successful mathematics department.
- Experience with university entrance exam preparation (e.g., STEP, MAT).
- Experience in delivering enrichment programs or extracurricular mathematics activities.
