Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver high-quality Maths lessons that inspire and challenge students.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing targeted support and feedback to ensure continued improvement.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and enhance departmental teaching and learning strategies.
- Engage in the planning and delivery of a broad and balanced curriculum that goes beyond national expectations.
- Support the school’s commitment to extra-curricular learning through involvement in maths-related activities and events.
- Contribute to the development of students’ wider skills and personal growth through pastoral support and mentorship.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to ensure continuous improvement and innovation in teaching practice.
- Work closely with parents and carers to support student achievement and well-being.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Maths.
- Proven experience in teaching Maths at Key Stage 3 and 4.
- Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
- Commitment to student achievement and a passion for teaching and learning.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and take on leadership responsibilities within the department.
Preferred
- Experience of teaching in a high-performing school or multi-academy trust.
- Experience of delivering extra-curricular activities or maths competitions.
- Familiarity with maths-specific teaching methodologies and resources.
- Experience of working with students from diverse backgrounds.
