Teacher of Engineering Technology needed for a full-time, permanent role starting in September 2026.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and high-quality lessons in Engineering Technology to students aged 11 to 16.
  • Develop and implement a curriculum that meets and exceeds national standards.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing targeted support and feedback.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and enhance teaching and learning across the department.
  • Participate in extracurricular activities and trips that support student development and engagement.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and incorporate relevant technologies into teaching.
  • Contribute to the wider school community through professional development and staff collaboration.
  • Support students in achieving their full potential through pastoral care and mentorship.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Proven experience in teaching Engineering Technology at Key Stage 3 and 4.
  • Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
  • Ability to plan and deliver engaging, student-centred lessons.
  • Commitment to student progress and achievement.

Preferred

  • Experience with vocational or technical education.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard software and tools used in Engineering Technology.
  • Experience in leading or contributing to curriculum development.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for inspiring students and promoting STEM subjects.
