The Opportunity:
A school is seeking a passionate and dedicated Maths Teacher to join a successful department. This role offers the chance to inspire students, contribute to a high-achieving team, and support the continued success of the maths department at both GCSE and A-Level.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging maths lessons aligned with curriculum schemes and examination syllabuses.
- Collaborate with support staff to ensure effective teaching and learning for all students.
- Assess student progress and provide clear, constructive feedback to support improvement.
- Set and review learning objectives that challenge and motivate students.
- Promote a positive learning environment with high expectations and strong behaviour management.
- Support the Catholic ethos and values of the school through teaching and pastoral duties.
- Participate in form tutoring and monitor the academic and social progress of students.
- Attend meetings, training sessions, and school events as required.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant maths experience.
- Strong subject knowledge in mathematics.
- Experience in planning and delivering lessons to a range of abilities.
- Ability to manage and motivate students effectively.
- Commitment to the Catholic ethos of the school.
Preferred
- Experience in teaching maths at GCSE and A-Level.
- Experience with SEND students and differentiated instruction.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Passion for maths and a desire to inspire students.
