Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a school-wide numeracy strategy to improve student outcomes.
- Lead and support staff in the delivery of high-quality mathematics teaching and learning.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of numeracy interventions and provide actionable feedback.
- Collaborate with senior leaders to align numeracy goals with the school’s overall academic vision.
- Provide professional development and coaching to teachers in mathematics and numeracy.
- Analyze student performance data to identify trends and inform targeted support.
- Work with external partners and stakeholders to enhance numeracy provision across the school.
- Ensure consistent and high-quality numeracy practices across all year groups and subjects.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience in a leadership role within education, ideally in mathematics or numeracy.
- Strong knowledge of mathematics curriculum and assessment practices.
- Experience in leading professional development and coaching teachers.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze data and use insights to drive improvement.
- Commitment to the school’s values of respect, integrity, and determination.
Preferred
- Experience in developing and implementing school-wide numeracy strategies.
- Background in teaching mathematics at secondary level.
- Experience with innovative teaching methods and technologies.
- Leadership experience in a large or multi-academy trust setting.
- Experience in working with diverse student populations and supporting inclusion.
