As a Pastoral Leader, you will play a vital role in supporting student wellbeing and academic success. Key Responsibilities:
- Support and lead a team of pastoral staff to ensure the emotional and academic wellbeing of students.
- Develop and implement strategies to promote positive behaviour, attendance, and engagement.
- Work closely with teaching staff to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
- Monitor and report on student progress, identifying and addressing barriers to learning.
- Provide guidance and support to students, parents, and carers through regular communication and pastoral care.
- Collaborate with external agencies and support services to ensure students receive appropriate help and intervention.
- Promote the school’s values of respect, integrity, and determination across the student body.
- Contribute to the development of school policies and initiatives that enhance student outcomes.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience in a pastoral or student support role within an educational setting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and lead a team effectively.
- Experience in developing and implementing pastoral care strategies.
- Commitment to the school’s mission of ensuring student success and wellbeing.
Preferred
- Experience in a school with a strong focus on inclusion and diversity.
- Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
- Experience with behaviour management and restorative practices.
- Familiarity with flexible working policies and innovative approaches to education.
