Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Science lessons that foster curiosity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with Key Stage 3 curriculum requirements
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports all students
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and continuously improve teaching methods
  • Support student progress through effective assessment and feedback
  • Engage with parents and the wider school community to promote a shared vision for student success
  • Participate in professional development and contribute to the ongoing growth of the teaching team
  • Promote the school’s values and mission in all aspects of teaching and student interaction

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A strong interest in science and the ability to inspire and engage students
  • Good communication skills to interact effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
  • Ability to plan and deliver lessons that meet curriculum requirements
  • Basic classroom management skills to maintain a positive learning environment
  • Commitment to supporting every student’s progress and development

Preferred

  • Relevant qualifications or training in science or education
  • Experience in teaching Science at Key Stage 3
  • Experience with continuous professional development and collaborative teaching practices
  • Strong enthusiasm for working as part of a supportive and inclusive school community
