Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Humanities to students across KS2 to KS4, tailoring lessons to meet individual needs
- Develop engaging and inclusive lesson plans that support the school’s therapeutic and academic approach
- Collaborate with colleagues to deliver a high-quality, innovative curriculum
- Support students’ social, emotional, and mental health through pastoral care and guidance
- Work closely with parents, carers, and external agencies to ensure holistic student development
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback and support
- Participate in professional development and school improvement initiatives
- Contribute to a positive, inclusive school culture that values teamwork and continuous learning
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified Teacher Status (QT) with a good honours degree in a relevant subject
- Recent experience teaching Humanities to students across the primary or secondary age range
- Strong understanding of social, emotional, and mental health needs
- Commitment to inclusive education and student well-being
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred
- Experience working in special education settings
- Familiarity with Education Health and Care (EHC) plans
- Experience with therapeutic approaches to learning
- Background in pastoral care or student support
- Strong organisational and time management skills
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive salary range from £40,317 to £52,300, depending on experience
- Additional SEN allowance of £2,787
