The Opportunity:

We are seeking a Matron to provide high-quality pastoral care and supervision within a boarding house. This role is essential in supporting the well-being and development of students, while also ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the house.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide excellent pastoral care and support to students, ensuring their emotional and physical well-being.
• Deliver a warm and compassionate approach to all students and staff within the boarding house.
• Manage administrative and organisational tasks to maintain the smooth running of the house.
• Build positive and meaningful relationships with both students and adults.
• Support the implementation of school policies and procedures within the boarding environment.
• Ensure a safe and secure environment for all students living in the house.
• Collaborate with other staff to promote a positive and inclusive culture.
• Attend to any health or welfare concerns promptly and appropriately.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Strong organisational and administrative skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships with students and adults.
• Commitment to providing high standards of care and supervision.
• ICT literacy and the ability to use relevant software systems.

Preferred

• First aid skills or willingness to complete first aid training.
• Experience in a pastoral or care role within an educational setting.
• Knowledge of child welfare and safeguarding procedures.
