The Opportunity:

A school is seeking passionate and inspiring teachers to join its Medicine summer pathway. This role involves teaching students aged 14-17 in a dynamic and engaging environment, with academic excursions in London each afternoon. It is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young learners during the summer term.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons in Medicine to students aged 14-17.
  • Plan and prepare stimulating and interactive teaching materials.
  • Lead academic excursions in London, including visits to museums, universities, and other sites of interest.
  • Support students during the day with pastoral care and academic guidance.
  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure a cohesive and enriching learning experience.
  • Participate in the planning and delivery of a student showcase on the final Friday of the course.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all students during the course.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in teaching Medicine or a related subject.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to engage and inspire students of all abilities.
  • Experience working with students aged 14-17.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

Preferred

  • Experience in delivering summer school or enrichment programs.
  • Familiarity with academic excursions and field trips in London.
  • Experience in a boarding school or residential setting.
  • Flexibility to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Passion for science and medicine education.
