The Opportunity:

As a Summer School Teacher - Law, Politics and International Relations, you will lead engaging lessons for students aged 14-17. You will deliver content in the mornings and take students on academic excursions in the afternoons, including visits to museums, universities, and sites of interest in London. This is a fantastic opportunity to inspire young minds and make a meaningful impact in a supportive and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons in Law, Politics and International Relations to students aged 14-17.
  • Plan and implement a curriculum that aligns with the school’s educational goals and student needs.
  • Lead academic excursions in London, including visits to museums, universities, and other relevant sites.
  • Support students during the day and ensure a safe, positive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff to enhance the summer school experience.
  • Participate in the student showcase on the final Friday of the second week.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.
  • Adhere to the school’s safeguarding and welfare policies at all times.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Law, Politics or International Relations.
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills.
  • Ability to engage and inspire students aged 14-17.
  • Experience in delivering curriculum-based lessons.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and child welfare.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching within a summer school or similar program.
  • Familiarity with academic excursions and field trips.
  • Knowledge of London and its educational and cultural sites.
  • Experience with boarding school environments or residential programs.
  • Flexibility to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
