The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and creative Art & Design Teacher - Summer School to inspire students aged 14-17 during our summer programme. This role offers a unique opportunity to deliver engaging lessons and lead academic excursions in London. The position is ideal for educators looking for a dynamic and flexible teaching experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Art & Design lessons to students aged 14-17 in a stimulating and supportive environment.
  • Plan and execute academic excursions to cultural and educational sites in London.
  • Foster a creative and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages student engagement and learning.
  • Collaborate with other summer school staff to ensure a cohesive and enriching experience for students.
  • Support students during the student showcase on Friday of the second week of each block.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.
  • Promote the values of the KPS REACH Code within the classroom and during excursions.
  • Ensure a safe and positive learning environment for all students.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Art & Design.
  • Ability to engage and inspire students aged 14-17.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Experience in delivering curriculum-based lessons.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Preferred

  • Experience working with students in a boarding environment.
  • Familiarity with London’s cultural and educational landmarks.
  • Previous experience in a summer school or similar setting.
  • Flexibility to work across multiple contract blocks.
