Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective lessons in Modern Foreign Languages that align with the school’s academic standards and values.
- Foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment where students are encouraged to reach their full potential.
- Contribute to the pastoral care of students within their House, supporting their personal and academic growth.
- Participate actively in co-curricular activities and contribute to the broader life of the school.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative teaching strategies and share best practices.
- Uphold the school’s values of courage, honour, humility, and fellowship in all aspects of teaching and student interaction.
- Support students in both academic and personal development, ensuring they are challenged and inspired.
- Stay current with curriculum developments and ensure lessons reflect the latest educational standards and practices.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Appropriate degree with UK PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification that gives QTS.
- Minimum three years of teaching experience, with familiarity with the National Curriculum of England and IGCSE/GCSE and/or A Levels.
- Clean criminal record check, including International Child Protection Check (ICPC) from the UK or equivalent checks from relevant countries.
- Demonstrated commitment to safeguarding children and understanding of safeguarding procedures.
- Prior teaching experience in leading independent schools.
