Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans tailored to the needs of students.
  • Deliver high-quality, inclusive teaching that supports academic and personal growth.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and students to create a supportive and challenging learning environment.
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing targeted interventions when needed.
  • Participate in co-curricular activities and contribute to the pastoral care of students.
  • Uphold the school’s values of courage, honour, humility, and fellowship in all aspects of teaching.
  • Stay current with best practices in special educational needs and continue professional development.
  • Maintain strong communication with parents and guardians to support student success.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Appropriate degree with UK PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification that gives QTS.
  • Minimum three years of teaching experience, including familiarity with the National Curriculum of England and IGCSE/GCSE and/or A Levels.
  • Experience in conducting and interpreting psychometric tests and planning targeted interventions.
  • A clean criminal record check, including International Child Protection Check (ICPC) or equivalent.
  • Proven commitment to safeguarding children and understanding of safeguarding procedures.
  • Prior teaching experience in leading independent schools.
