The Opportunity:

As a Middle School Language Arts Teacher, you will play a key role in developing students' literacy, critical thinking, and communication skills. You will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective instruction aligned with Common Core standards, while fostering a classroom environment that promotes creativity and intellectual growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver dynamic lesson plans aligned with Common Core standards
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports diverse learners
  • Assess student progress through a variety of formative and summative assessments
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum and instructional practices
  • Communicate regularly with parents and students to support academic and personal growth
  • Integrate technology into instruction to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes
  • Participate in professional development and school-wide initiatives
  • Support student well-being and encourage a love of reading and writing

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in English, Literature, Language Arts, or a related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in middle school Language Arts or similar subjects
  • Strong understanding of Common Core standards for middle school language arts
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills
  • Ability to create inclusive and engaging learning experiences for all students

Preferred

  • Experience with technology integration in the classroom
  • Background in differentiated instruction or special education support
  • Experience in a multicultural or international school setting
  • Advanced degree in education or related field
