The Opportunity:

A minibus driver is needed to support the safe and efficient transport of students during term time. This role plays a vital part in ensuring students arrive at the school safely and on time, contributing to the smooth operation of daily school life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive a 16 seater minibus in accordance with all health and safety regulations
  • Ensure the safety, comfort, and wellbeing of all pupils during transport
  • Maintain a high standard of personal appearance and professional conduct
  • Communicate effectively with pupils, parents, and school staff
  • Follow all school policies and procedures related to transport and child safeguarding
  • Assist with the loading and unloading of students and equipment
  • Keep accurate records of transport activities and report any issues promptly
  • Demonstrate a flexible and proactive approach to work

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A full, clean UK driving licence (ideally category D1)
  • Commitment to child safety and welfare
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain a high standard of personal presentation
  • Flexible and proactive attitude to work

Preferred

  • Previous experience as a minibus or school driver
  • Experience with child safeguarding procedures
  • Familiarity with transport management systems
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
