Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide a safe, fun, and enriching environment for children during after-school hours.
  • Support the delivery of activities that promote learning, social development, and well-being.
  • Ensure the implementation of the school’s policies and procedures in all aspects of care provision.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and children to maintain a consistent and positive experience.
  • Assist with the supervision and management of children during structured and unstructured play times.
  • Collaborate with other members of the care team to ensure a cohesive and supportive approach to child care.
  • Maintain accurate records and report any concerns or incidents in a timely manner.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive atmosphere that reflects the values of the school.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A commitment to working with children and a genuine passion for their development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to manage a variety of tasks and responsibilities.
  • Experience working in a childcare or education setting, preferably with children of a similar age range.

Preferred

  • Experience in a school or care setting with a focus on after-school activities.
  • Knowledge of child development and best practices in child care.
  • First aid and safeguarding qualifications.
  • Experience with safeguarding procedures and child protection policies.
