Registered Nurse needed to provide clinical and pastoral care to students at a school.

The Opportunity:
As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in supporting the health and wellbeing of students, providing both clinical care and emotional support. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young lives, working within a supportive and forward-thinking environment that values the holistic development of every student.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality clinical care and pastoral support to students across the school.
- Assist the Lead Nurse in the smooth running of the medical room and the care of sick, injured, or distressed pupils.
- Monitor, review, and record the health status of students, and conduct school medicals.
- Collaborate with parents, carers, and health professionals to develop and implement in-school care plans for students with complex health needs.
- Identify students with developmental concerns and refer to specialist services where necessary.
- Support vulnerable students, including those with diabetes or at risk of self-harm, through tailored strategies and care plans.
- Deliver open-access drop-in sessions to provide guidance on issues such as relationships, stress management, and risk-taking behaviours.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Relevant nursing qualification, such as RN (child branch), RSCN, or Registered General Nurse with post-qualification experience.
- Experience in areas such as A&E, walk-in clinics, or as a Practice Nurse.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Strong commitment to the health and wellbeing of young people.
- Awareness of current developments in school nursing and health promotion.
Preferred
- Experience working in a school or educational setting.
- Knowledge of health promotion strategies for young people.
- Experience with developing and implementing care plans for students with long-term conditions.
