The Opportunity:

As an EYFS Practitioner, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality early years education and care. You will support children’s learning through play, build strong relationships, and work as part of a collaborative team to nurture young minds in a stimulating and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and stimulating learning experiences in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  • Support children’s social, emotional, and academic development through creative and play-based activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of children’s progress and communicate regularly with parents.
  • Work closely with colleagues to ensure a consistent and supportive learning environment.
  • Promote a safe and welcoming atmosphere that reflects the school’s values and ethos.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development opportunities.
  • Ensure the learning environment is well-organised, tidy, and safe at all times.
  • Support the smooth running of the nursery, including during busy periods and out-of-term times.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A full and relevant Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education.
  • Experience working with 3-year-olds in an early years setting.
  • Strong knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  • Excellent literacy, numeracy, and ICT skills.
  • A flexible and reliable approach to work.

Preferred

  • Experience working in a Catholic or faith-based setting.
  • Experience of working with children in a year-round early years provision.
  • Experience in a team environment and a commitment to collaborative working.
  • Additional qualifications or training in early years education.

  • Competitive salary between £24k and £25.5k, dependent on experience.
