The Opportunity:
We are seeking a dedicated Lunchtime Supervisor to join our team and ensure a safe, positive, and well-managed lunchtime experience for students. This role is essential in maintaining a welcoming and structured environment during meal times and outdoor activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise students in the dining hall, promoting good table manners and healthy eating habits.
- Maintain a clean and welcoming dining environment by clearing tables and managing spillages.
- Oversee students during lunchtime in the playground or during wet-play sessions, ensuring their safety and engagement.
- Encourage appropriate behavior and positive interactions among students.
- Assist in organizing and managing lunchtime activities and routines.
- Support the wider school community by contributing to a positive and inclusive environment.
- Participate in training sessions, including first aid if required.
- Work collaboratively with other staff members to ensure smooth operations during lunchtime.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A reliable and enthusiastic approach to working with children.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage and supervise children effectively.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and inclusive environment.
- Willingness to undertake first aid training if necessary.
Preferred
- Previous experience working with children in a school or care setting.
- Knowledge of child development and behavior management.
- Experience in a school or educational environment.
- Flexibility and adaptability to work within a busy and dynamic team.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive hourly rate of £16.98.
- Part-time, term-time only position (34 weeks per annum).
