Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective lessons in Modern Foreign Languages, focusing on student success and achievement.
  • Develop and implement creative teaching strategies that enhance student performance and engagement.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to support departmental goals and improve outcomes for all students.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to help students reach their full potential.
  • Participate in professional development activities to continuously improve teaching practice and subject knowledge.
  • Support the school's commitment to student well-being and mental health.
  • Contribute to the planning and delivery of extracurricular activities related to Modern Foreign Languages.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student performance and attendance.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Modern Foreign Languages.
  • Experience teaching French and Spanish to at least Key Stage 3 and GCSE level.
  • Commitment to student success and a passion for inspiring young people.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and take responsibility for student progress.

Preferred

  • Experience in developing creative and innovative teaching methods.
  • Previous experience in a school with a strong focus on professional development.
  • Familiarity with the Outwood Grange Academies Trust and its values.
  • Experience with curriculum development and assessment strategies.
