Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach engaging and motivating Boys’ PE lessons that encourage student participation and achievement.
  • Support positive behaviour and student engagement in all lessons.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of extracurricular sports and PE activities.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to improve student outcomes and wellbeing.
  • Promote a culture of respect, responsibility, and determination among students.
  • Stay updated with best practices in PE and sports education.
  • Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.
  • Participate in staff development and school improvement initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant PE experience, ideally in Boys’ PE.
  • Proven ability to deliver engaging and effective PE lessons.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in supporting student behaviour and wellbeing.
  • Commitment to promoting physical activity and healthy lifestyles.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative.

Preferred

  • Experience in a high-achieving school environment.
  • Knowledge of sports coaching or leadership roles.
  • Experience with extracurricular sports programs.
  • Familiarity with the Everyday Development (EDD) Framework.
  • Experience in a multi-academy trust or similar setting.
