Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality music lessons that engage and challenge students of all abilities.
- Plan and deliver lessons that align with the school’s curriculum and learning policies.
- Use performance data to monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
- Set and mark home learning in line with the school’s policies and provide constructive feedback.
- Communicate regularly with parents and carers about student progress and development.
- Participate in school events, such as Open Evenings and Celebration Events.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share resources, support departmental goals, and contribute to improvement plans.
- Support students’ personal and academic growth through effective teaching and behaviour management strategies.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in music education.
- Strong subject knowledge in music and the ability to deliver engaging lessons.
- Experience in using data to inform teaching and improve student outcomes.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and contribute to departmental initiatives.
Preferred
- Experience in leading extracurricular music activities or ensembles.
- Experience with inclusive teaching practices and differentiated instruction.
- Familiarity with music technology and digital resources.
- Experience in pastoral support or student mentoring.
