The Opportunity:
We are seeking a highly skilled Visiting Organ Teacher to deliver exceptional music education to students. This role will involve one-to-one lessons, ensemble support, and coaching, helping students achieve their full potential in music examinations and performances. The successful candidate will join a dynamic and well-equipped Music Department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality one-to-one lessons to students of all ages and abilities.
- Support ensembles and provide coaching as required.
- Collaborate with the Head of Instrument and the Director of Music.
- Encourage students to reach their full potential in music examinations and performances.
- Contribute to the school’s musical and cultural environment through participation in events and performances.
- Maintain and develop the school’s strong tradition of excellence in music education.
- Work within a well-resourced Music Department, including access to three organs and a comprehensive Music Library.
- Promote a positive and inspiring learning environment for students.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified music teacher with a strong background in organ performance and pedagogy.
- Experience in teaching at a school or college level.
- Ability to prepare students for music examinations and performance assessments.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to fostering a love of music in students.
Preferred
- Experience in a school or college music department.
- Familiarity with a range of musical styles and performance practices.
- Experience with ensemble coaching and performance preparation.
- Knowledge of music technology and digital teaching tools.
