The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate Teacher of Mathematics to join our dynamic department and contribute to the academic and personal development of students. This is a part-time role (0.83 FTE) with opportunities for professional growth and involvement in a wide range of school activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Mathematics to students across a range of ability levels.
  • Deliver high-quality lessons that inspire and challenge students.
  • Support students with learning difficulties and neurodiverse conditions through tailored programmes.
  • Collaborate with academic, pastoral, and co-curricular staff to ensure a holistic approach to student support.
  • Contribute to the co-curricular life of the school, including pastoral and extracurricular activities.
  • Work closely with parents and other staff to support student progress and well-being.
  • Develop and implement individualised learning strategies based on student needs.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of the curriculum.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Mathematics education.
  • Experience in supporting students with learning difficulties or neurodiverse conditions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to student well-being and holistic development.
  • Ability to work flexibly and manage a varied workload.

Preferred

  • Experience in a boarding school or similar educational setting.
  • Familiarity with inclusive education practices.
  • Interest in co-curricular and pastoral activities.
  • Experience with teaching students for whom English is an additional language.
