The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate Teacher of Mathematics to join our dynamic department and contribute to the academic and personal development of students. This is a part-time role (0.83 FTE) with opportunities for professional growth and involvement in a wide range of school activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Mathematics to students across a range of ability levels.
- Deliver high-quality lessons that inspire and challenge students.
- Support students with learning difficulties and neurodiverse conditions through tailored programmes.
- Collaborate with academic, pastoral, and co-curricular staff to ensure a holistic approach to student support.
- Contribute to the co-curricular life of the school, including pastoral and extracurricular activities.
- Work closely with parents and other staff to support student progress and well-being.
- Develop and implement individualised learning strategies based on student needs.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of the curriculum.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Mathematics education.
- Experience in supporting students with learning difficulties or neurodiverse conditions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to student well-being and holistic development.
- Ability to work flexibly and manage a varied workload.
Preferred
- Experience in a boarding school or similar educational setting.
- Familiarity with inclusive education practices.
- Interest in co-curricular and pastoral activities.
- Experience with teaching students for whom English is an additional language.
